The NS SPCA 2008 AGM advertisement was in the Chronicle Herald today - see below for the particulars. It sounds like it's in the same room the 2006 AGM was - see my 2006 report for photos of the room. It should be an interesting morning.
For those of you interested - this was the text for the 2007 AGM:

From what I hear, the AGM should be "eventful" to say the least. Press are supposed to be paying a visit!! My guess is alot of people won't get in to the "members only" meeting and as always, the well known "executive" will have a lawyer (her lawyer) as chair of the meeting, as she ususally does, to shut up anyone who (1)asks a question (2)makes a statement that doesn't sit well with the executive and to (3) basically keep the "agenda!!!!!!!" in order, so NO topics that may bring attention to THEM will be discussed!!!!! I have witnessed this in the past and I will be shocked if it is any different this time. CHANGES need to happen OR else, the entire foundation of the SPCA will crumble and then who loses....the animals.
