Something to talk about

I have something to admit. I've been having some health problems the last couple months which have been affecting the number of my blog posts - and the fact that my Charlie Loves Halifax website hasn't been updated lately.

I've been getting irate emails from people asking why their sites haven't been added to my Charlie loves halifax site, or why it hasn't been updated - and first off - it is just a hobby site - I make no money from it whatsoever - if you want me to add your business to it tomorrow - give me $20 bucks and maybe I'll move a bit quicker (that's a joke by the way - I never take money for anything that I do).

I have been having a recurrence of my bipolar disorder symptoms the last couple of months and it's been quite bad the last month - so much so that I've been off work the last week - so it's got to be very bad for me to be off work.

I am lucid and able to take care of my Dad and my dogs - but as for making blog posts and keeping up with what's going on in the world of dogs - I'm not doing such a good job at that.

Right now I am trying to focus on getting better so I can go back to living a normal life - which I have been blessed to be able to do since I was diagnosed in 2005 - which a lot of people with the disease that I have are not able to do. I am very lucky. I embrace pharmaceuticals, and it's unfortunately a change in drugs that's made me sick again - and I can tell you that when you are sick with bipolar type I disease - it is no walk in the park - it is a hard thing to go through.

I have so many posts that I want to write - but I just can't sit down to write them - I am in a manic phase, and sitting down is not something I'm doing very well at the moment.

So when I can - I'll post - but I definitely fall into that category of being a crazy dog person - but in my case it's literally. But luckily it's only sometimes.

Thank dog I have dogs who don't notice when I'm crazy andn when I'm not - just as long as the level of love stays the same - and I always make sure that stays constant. Who couldn't love Buttercup and Buddy in all circumstances? It would be impossible.

Joan, I can definitely relate and also believe in better living thru chemistry when there aren't alternatives. Hope you can ride this one out and feel better soon.

  2. Be well Joan. Ignore the ignoramuses who send snotty emails. Cuddle your fur babies and walk with them. Enjoy the fresh air and the company of friends.

    consider yourself hugged.
