Happy St. Patrick's day!

A couple week's ago I posted about this dog, Sante - the dog who has more clothes than me - and one of the pictures her aunt sent me was this one - so I had to post it again seeing as how today is St. Patrick's Day - and she's all dressed up here for St. Patrick's day and she looks so beautiful!
And this of course is Buttercup - I took this picture at least 5 years ago - and she still looks this beautiful - holding her St. Patrick's lamb, and she looks like a little lamb too!

This year I thought I'd also post a very cute poem but a poet named "Mary Howitt" - and it's called Buttercups and Daisies" - isn't that neat! haha!

Buttercups and Daisies -
Oh the pretty flowers,
Coming ere the springtime
To tell of sunny hours.
While the trees are leafless,
While the fields are bare,
Buttercups and daisies
Spring up here and there.
Ere the snowdrop peepeth,
Ere the croscus bold,
Ere the early primrose
Opes its paly gold,
Somewhere on a sunny bank
Buttercups are bright;
Somewhere 'mong the frozen grass
Peeps the daisy white.
Little hardy flowers
Like to children poor,
Playing in their sturdy health
By their mother's door:
Purple with the north wind,
Yet alert and bold;
Fearing not and caring not,
Though they be a-cold.
What to them is weather!
What are stormy showers!
Buttercups and daisies
Are these human flowers!
He who gave them hardship
And a life of care,
Gave them likewise hardy strength,
And patient hearts, to bear.
Welcome yellow buttercups,
Welcome daisies white,
Ye are in my spirit
Visioned, a delight!
Coming ere the springtime
Of sunny hours to tell-
Speaking to our hearts of Him
Who doeth all things well.

What a breath of fresh air! Nice to see that this was not related to Francesca as i'm sure you are as sick of her as we are.

Joan I think you need to start posting the IP address associated with the nasty comments being left on your blog. I know that this blog will allow you to see the IP address as well as the MAC address of the computer in which it is posting. I would be more than able to help you with filing a report to the provider of the person as I work for a major internet security firm :)

  5. The program that I'm using is telling me that the person posting the comments is using an ISP anonymiser unfortunately, so I don't know how to get around that.

Great post Joan - and again I am just amazed at the wonderful character of those that would comment under anonymous using such pruient language - speaks volumes to their lack of brains ... and any credibilty to have any stance on any issue - too bad we can`t ensure that these types are spayed and neutered - sure don`t need them in the universal gene pool!

  7. Ha-Ha - Janet, so true. It baffles me how limbic some people are. Surely no indication of an existing rational human brain.
