Find the dog

A perfect photo appeared to me tonight as I was tucking everybody in - my dogs are pretty typical I think in that coming from less than fortunate backgrounds, they enjoy their indoor and on the bed lifestyles now - and they actually prefer being under the covers - especially Daisy - who lived for the first 3 years of her life outdoors - likes to be under a couple layers - even with all that fur - so you have to look at this photo and figure out where the dogs are in all the bedding. I just sort of fit in somewhere amongst the group and try to get a blanket somehow. It's pretty bad when you let the dogs hog the blanket.

That hilarious Joan, and you are totally right about dogs that had it rough do enjoy being under the covers. I'm told my Jenny spent her earliest days chained to a tree in winter and now she spends every night under the covers!

  2. And Daisy doesn't care how hot she gets either - right now I am sitting right next to her, and she is panting like crazy - and she's happier than a pig in shit.

  3. I think they want you to keep it down and turn off the lights.

Haha Joan. Love it! Do Charlie and the cat ever elbow their way in too?

  6. The cat would rather pop his eyeballs out and use them to insert into his empty ball sacs and pretend like he was never neutered rather than spend time with dirty dogs - he gets his human attention one on one at other times of the day, and Charlie likes to spread out his body which when prone is probably abour 4 1/2 feet long - so a double bed all to himself would just about fit him - so he's got a nice big spot right in front of the bed that he likes to sleep on so that I can trip on him every time I get up to go have a smoke.

  8. Should shoot a photo with small Davie occupying 3/4 of Mike's half of the bed. As a well trained and polite dog she does move when he asks her to - about an inch while kicking her back legs out at him.

Dogs in bed are good for the body and soul; theirs and ours. The ultimate of a deeply bonded social group.

Joan you should submit this photo to the Bide A While calendar that they do every year - this is one of the best I have seen!
