SPCA forced to put down injured pregnant cat

This is in relation to my post - "Horrible Incident at the Dartmouth SPCA"

From Friday November 7th's Chronicle Herald:
SPCA forced to put down injured pregnant cat

A pregnant cat partly crushed in a tragic parking lot accident outside the Metro SPCA shelter in Dartmouth on Tuesday night has had to be put down.

The cat was one of two cats abandoned in a box under an employee’s car outside the shelter. When the young woman left work, she unknowingly backed over the box, killing one cat and severely injuring the other.

Anyone with information is asked to call 835-4798.

  2. I guess they better get some lighting in the parking lot.

    Poor thing!

I believe it happened before 530 and it was still light out.

Who expects someone to put a box of cats under their back tires? Sick bastards. Let's not blame the poor person who backed over them. I think they are already suffering enough.

  5. Exactly - as I said in my post - this is a case out cruelty against the cats and a case of assault against the shelter staff. It's domestic terrorism - these people did this for no other reason than to cause terror to the shelter staff. And they did that in spades - and they also did it to any other feeling person in Nova Scotia - and I hope they're caught.

  6. I would never blame the employee; never ever. Clearly this is a sin against man and beast.
It sounds like the box could not have been accidentally left there. People capable of such a thing could be there any time of day, I would want lighting in the parking lot to protect me.
