Yesterday Buttercup went to a new groomer over in Cole Harbour, and I think she did a fabulous job - a lady at "Pet Peeve" - so I took the opportunity to take the big dogs to Conrad's Beach

There were quite a few cars parked up and down the road, and a few people at the beach - but there was still tons of space on the beach for people like me to have some fun with a couple of old dogs who do nothing but stand with our knees in the water and stare at each other.

Needless to say, the three of us had a fabulous time. It was just so hot - we walked the boardwalk to the beach, and then walked straight into the water. No screwing around. And the water was SO warm. I want to go back tomorrow if I can. Maybe this time we'll go to Crystal Crescent - I heard that even the water at Crystal Crescent is warm right now.

Of course Charlie was pretty much just interested in laying down. But he did walk a little bit while we were there. That's one thing about Conrad's - it's a long walk from the parking lot to the beach and then back again - a long walk for a 94 year old dog in human years.

Do you see how even though on one of the hottest days of the summer though - there wasn't anybody around where we were? A fully 60% of the beach was completely empty - THAT'S what it's like in Nova Scotia.
There really IS enough space for everyone here. Really there is.
