So my Dog Watch Nova Scotia Newsletter #1 has been sent out - I sent it to about 400 people. I was having anxiety attacks all day about it. I started thinking about the fact that I was actually going to do it, and thinking about - who in the hell was I to do something like this? I must have some set of balls to think that I should do something like this - start a dog politics newsletter for all of Nova Scotia. And then I thought, oh well, whatever... and I just kept on going. I'll deal with the fallout later.

Just got it and read every word........LOVE IT!! Thank you Joan for taking the time and making the effort. Much needed and LONG overdue. I'll be passing the word along to those I know. In the meantime.....get working on the next "issue" !! ;)
ReplyDeleteJoan, you asked "who in the hell was I to do something like this?"
ReplyDeleteWell, who else?!
Have you considered printing the newsletter and having it available at the front counter of local vets and friendly pet supply stores? In my chats with a lot of local dog owners at the park I find that few are aware of the issues we face. I find myself explaining the evils of A300 far too often to people who should be aware already!

Awesome job, Joan! Even though I don't live in NS - it is still very informative!
ReplyDeleteKeep up the great work & I look forward to upcoming issues!
I agree- good idea to print it out and circulate it, if you can manage it!
ReplyDeleteThanks for doing it!
