Charlie went for his surgery today - he had a chest xray to see if the cancer had spread to his lungs, and luckily it hadn't. Late this afternoon he had his surgery and he's come out of that now and the vet thinks that she got all the mass and he did really well. So I am super happy. He has to stay at the Clinic overnight but I can go get him tomorrow.
So tomorrow will be an interesting day bringing him home - but at least it will be a day that will include Charlie - so it will be a fantastic day regardless.
Thank goodness Joan. I was thinking of you guys a lot today -- even went back and watched old videos of all you guys romping and having fun.

Gosh Joan,
ReplyDeleteI am So glad for you and Charlie. He is such a lucky guy that his mom takes such great care of him
I'm very happy to hear Charlie is coming home tomorrow. So you know, I read your blog every day and cherish it. I think your dogs are in a very good and loving home. I wish you the best of luck and love with Charlie.
ReplyDeleteCharlie knows you are still a work in progress ;) He still needs to be around to supervise.
ReplyDeleteHe knows that a loving home and arms (paws) await him, it will do him a world of good to be home with you all again.
Wishing you both many years of loving companionship and beachcombing. (((HUGS)))
Joan - just reading the msg today (Saturday) as I was not online most of yesterday due to the Relay for Life. What a shock to have read this, and am relieved to hear that Charlie did fine during surgery. Many positive vibes are being sent your way!
